NTT DATA Business Solutions announces establishment of global generative AI center of excellence centered on IBM watsonx

NTT DATA Business Solutions leverages IBM Watsonx AI and data platform to create new client solutions for application modernization, finance, hospitality and public sectors

Bielefeld, Germany/Copenhagen, Denmark — January 24, 2024 NTT DATA Business Solutions and IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced the establishment of a Center of Excellence (CoE) for the Watsonx generative AI platform. The joint CoE will focus on developing embedded generative AI solutions for clients using the IBM watsonx AI and data platform and watsonx AI Assistant. The CoE combines NTT DATA Business Solutions’ industry expertise with IBM technology to help NTT DATA Business Solutions clients scale and accelerate the impact of generative AI.

Norbert Rotter, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions and Executive Vice President of NTT DATA, Inc., explained: “While the program is currently based in Denmark, it is a global initiative that supports our customers around the world.”

The CoE also helps expand new use cases for generative AI to NTT DATA’s it.human platform, which incorporates IBM Watsonx capabilities, machine learning, speech recognition, natural language processing and conversational AI to enhance customer experience.

The collaboration also leverages IBM’s training, education and technical resources, including the IBM Cloud, to build use cases and provide access to underlying models and best practices to assist client projects using the Watsonx platform. NTT DATA Business Solutions provides sales resources to CoEs to engage with customers, build use cases and implement AI products.
